Loida Vasquez

With a B.S. in Regenerative Agriculture and a specialized focus on living soils, Loida Vasquez brings deep expertise and a proven track report in transforming conventional agriculture through soil biology. Over the course of her career, Loida has helped transition thousands of acres of farmland to regenerative systems, working directly with farmers, consultants, and land stewards to implement practices rooted in soil health and ecological resilience.


Loida has learned from and worked closely with Dr. Elaine Ingham for decades, from Elaine's time as the Chief Scientist at the Rodale Institute, to many years of dedication to the Soil Food Web school. As a leader in the field, Loida has designed and led dozens of workshops on composting, soil biology, and regenerative land management, empowering hundreds of practitioners with actionable, science-based methods. Her work emphasizes practical, biology-first approaches to land restoration and productivity. 


With a blend of technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and leadership in education, Loida is committed to advancing regenerative agriculture at a scale through collaboration, innovation, and systems thinking.

Evan Buckman

Evan Buckman is an entrepreneur, scientist, and regenerative systems thinker dedicated to transforming food systems, advancing regenerative agriculture, and healing humanity’s relationship to nature.

In 2014, Evan earned his Permaculture Design Certificate from the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute, laying the foundation for his systems-based approach to ecological design. He went on to graduate from Minerva University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry, concentrating in Biological and Earth Systems. His senior thesis, “Systems Biology Approaches to Bioremediation,” explored nature’s innate capacity to restore balance and detoxify human-caused pollution. During his studies, he lived in seven cities around the world, gaining invaluable cultural experiences.

Evan began his entrepreneurial journey in 2015 and has since founded multiple ventures, including an organic restaurant, a nutritional supplement company, and a consulting firm supporting impact-driven, bioeconomy-focused enterprises. He is also an avid researcher, having studied and trained in fields including holistic health, mycology, traditional ecological knowledge, and interdisciplinary life sciences. Evan is committed to creating positive impact through his actions, and has contributed to philanthropic causes including providing clean water and sanitation access to rural and indigenous populations around the world, and developing regenerative bio-economies in the Amazon Rainforest. 

He is currently based in Texas, where he moved to pursue large scale regenerative land projects. This led him to producing commercial bio-amendments and distributing them to landscapers, farmers, and land stewards to boost soil health and increase ecological resilience. He met Dr. Elaine Ingham through this work and has been inspired by the deep legacy and immense global impact of the Soil Food Web community. Evan has been working with Dr. Ingham, her family, and the Soil Food Web school team to develop the Soil Food Web Foundation as a vehicle to carry forward Elaine's immense legacy and the Soil Food Web mission for future generations. He is honored to serve as the Executive Director of the Foundation and committed to promoting widespread human and planetary health by regenerating the living soils beneath our feet.

No, overnight accommodation is not included. A vegetarian lunch will be provided on site. 

There are multiple locations nearby to that provide overnight accommodations should you need them.




This event will take place indoors in the Save Soil Farm classroom

Capacity for 60 people, with a few tables for taking notes.


An all-vegetarian lunch will be provided.

There will be a basket of tea bags, snacks, and water available in the classroom all day for students (for free)


Yes, there is a large parking lot on site (for a nominal fee)

The parking lot is a short walk away from the Yoga Center entrance. Bullock Cart rides are available from the parking lot to the Yoga Center entrance for a nominal fee.


Flights / Getting there

The Save Soil Farm is situated 30 kilometers (20 miles) west of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore, a major industrial city in southern India, is well connected by air, rail and road. Major airlines operate regular flights to Coimbatore from Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. 

Train services are available from all major cities in India. 

There are direct buses between Coimbatore and the Save Soil Farm. 

Taxis can be booked from the airport as well as the railway station. 

Alternatively, you can contact the Yoga Center’s 24-hour travel desk to book a taxi to the center.

Yes, many public restrooms are available throughout the site with western-style toilets

  • Public WiFi is NOT provided to Isha Yoga Center visitors

  • Participants of the 2-day seminar who require wifi are recommended to bring their own hotspots/ Jio devices

  • Airtel and Jio mobile network coverage is reliable across most of the Isha Yoga Center campus. Participants are welcome to bring their own hotspot devices. 

  • Note: Students of the Accelerator Workshop will be provided Wi-Fi as part of the course experience; however, the Isha team will not be able to provide free wifi for the larger 2-day seminar cohort.
